Finding a small farm like ours usually means you were looking for something a little more intentional. Better food, better ingredients, or a better connection to the people behind what you buy.

We’re Zoey and Charles, and together we run The Crow’s Croft, a small family run farm and soapery located in Central Oregon just outside of Redmond. This is not a side project or a trendy brand. It is our daily work, our land, and our way of life.

Our pigs, our land, our values

Our pigs are pasture raised, which means they live outdoors with space to roam, root, nap in the sun, and act like pigs should. We raise them on a non GMO, corn and soy free diet, and we believe deeply that animals raised with respect produce better food. Full stop.

Pasture raised pork is different ethically, but it is also different in flavor, texture, and quality. If you have ever wondered why pork from a small farm tastes richer or cooks better than what you find at the grocery store, it comes down to how the animals are raised and cared for every single day.

Why lard soap

We also make handcrafted lard based soap, and yes, we get questions about that all the time.

Lard has been used for centuries in traditional soapmaking, long before modern detergents stripped skin of its natural moisture. We use it because it works. Lard soap is gentle, nourishing, and especially loved by folks with dry or sensitive skin, something we see a lot of here in Central Oregon’s high desert climate.

Our soaps and body products are made in small batches right here on the farm using thoughtfully chosen ingredients. No filler. No hype. Just soap that does what soap is supposed to do.

A small farm in Central Oregon

Being a small farm in Central Oregon means living by the seasons. Some days are muddy. Some days are beautiful. Most days are both. Our animals are not inventory. They are living beings we know individually. Our products reflect that care, whether it is a cut of pasture raised pork or a bar of lard soap curing on the rack.

You will find us at local farmers markets, local shops, and seasonal events around Redmond, Bend, Sunriver, and the surrounding area. We are proud to be part of a community that values local food, local farms, and transparency.
